After winning his class at the 1994 24 Hours of Nürburgring, he transitioned into business, founding investment firms Marchfifteen and Marchsixteen, specialising in technology and industrial sectors. His unique ability to blend entrepreneurial success with sporting instincts brought him into motorsport management, eventually acquiring stakes in teams including Williams F1 before joining Mercedes in 2013. It was here that Toto began to carve out a legacy as one of the greatest team principals in the history of the sport.
Since taking the helm at Mercedes, Toto has overseen an era of unprecedented success, leading the team to eight consecutive Constructors’ Championships between 2014 and 2021. I thought the combination worked really well having them both together, and would recommend that to your other clients. I received many remarks from event attendees about how ‘on message’ they both were on the themes of leadership and culture, which was a big focus of our event this year.
