In 2020, they decided to form Team Wild Waves and set their sights on a feat few would dare to attempt: rowing across an ocean.

In 2021, Jessica and Charlotte completed the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in record-breaking time, becoming the fastest female pair to row the Atlantic Ocean, finishing in just 45 days. In 2024, they took on the Pacific, rowing 2,800 miles from California to Hawaii in only 37 days, smashing the previous record by nine days and becoming the fastest pair of any gender to complete the crossing. Along the way, they faced storms, sleep deprivation, and equipment failure—all overcome with sheer determination and teamwork. They also became the first team in history to row both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
