Jimmy Gopperth is a professional rugby player from New Zealand whose career has taken him across the world and placed him among the most respected figures in the sport. Now living in the UK, he is celebrated not only for his longevity and skill on the field but also for his work as CEO of Jimmy G’s Kicking Tees and founder of the Jimmy G Kicking Academy, an online platform dedicated to helping players improve their technique and confidence in kicking. His rugby journey began with Wellington RFC, where his natural ability as a playmaker and kicker quickly became apparent. He went on to represent the Hurricanes, North Harbour and The Blues before moving to England to join Newcastle Falcons. It was there that he cemented his reputation, twice finishing as Premiership top scorer and gaining a following for his consistency under pressure. He later enjoyed spells with Leinster and Wasps, where his influence reached new heights, before joining Leicester Tigers and continuing his professional career in France with Provence Rugby.

Throughout his time on the pitch, Jimmy has built an impressive record of more than 500 appearances and over 4,000 points. His precision and reliability have earned him three Golden Boots as well as the honour of being named Premiership Player of the Year, RPA Player of the Year and Wasps’ Player of the Year. Away from playing, he has taken on coaching responsibilities with Nuneaton Old Edwardians RFC and developed businesses that share his specialist knowledge of goal kicking, leaving a legacy that stretches far beyond his own achievements.
