Will Buxton is a motorsport broadcaster, journalist, and New York Times bestselling author, widely recognised as one of the leading voices in global Formula 1 coverage. Known for his authoritative analysis and dynamic on screen presence, he has become a familiar figure to millions of fans worldwide, particularly through his central role in Netflix’s ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’. With more than two decades reporting at the highest level of motorsport, Will combines deep technical knowledge with compelling storytelling, making him a sought after host, commentator, and keynote speaker.

Will began his career in 2001 with GrandPrix.com before joining F1 Magazine in 2002, establishing himself as a respected motorsport journalist. In 2005, he reported for the BBC from Wales Rally GB, further broadening his broadcast experience. By 2008, he had become Editor of GPWeek, later serving as Editor at Large of GP International in 2013. That same year, he transitioned to NBC Sports after joining Speed Channel in 2010 as a Formula 1 pitlane reporter in the United States. Across this period, he covered both Formula 1 and IndyCar, reporting from more than 300 Grands Prix around the world.

Between 2018 and 2024, Will served as Formula 1’s first Digital Presenter, leading the sport’s official digital platforms and shaping its global online presence. His visibility increased further through his prominent role on Drive to Survive, where his insights helped bring Formula 1 to new audiences. In 2025, he was appointed Lead Anchor and Play by Play Announcer for IndyCar on FOX, marking another significant milestone in his broadcasting career. Alongside his media work, he is an accomplished author, with ‘My Greatest Defeat’ becoming an international bestseller in 2019 and ‘Grand Prix: An Illustrated History of Formula 1’ achieving New York Times bestseller status in 2024.
