Angus Collins is an ultra endurance athlete, mental health advocate and widely recognised as one of the world’s most accomplished ocean rowers. Across his career, Angus has set five ocean rowing records, earning a reputation for resilience, leadership and exceptional mental strength under pressure. His experiences navigating some of the world’s toughest environments have positioned him as a highly sought after speaker on high performance, teamwork and mental endurance. Combining elite sporting achievement with expertise in positive psychology and coaching, Angus delivers powerful insights into sustaining performance through adversity, overcoming setbacks and maintaining focus in extreme conditions.

After completing a BSc in Geography at Oxford Brookes University in 2011, Angus began his professional career as a consultant specialising in compliance and financial crime at JCW Search. However, his passion for adventure and endurance soon led him in a different direction. In 2013, he became Project and Sales Director for Rannoch Adventure before taking on the role of Campaign Manager and Skipper for Ocean Reunion in 2014. During this period, Angus competed in the notoriously demanding Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, where his team set a new race record by crossing the Atlantic in just thirty seven days. He later joined Latitude 35 Racing as Navigator and Race Tactician, helping the team achieve the fastest open class row across the mid Pacific from California to Hawaii in only thirty days.

Alongside his sporting achievements, Angus has developed an academic and professional interest in wellbeing and performance psychology. In 2021, he became a Positive Psychology Coach before completing an MA in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology at the University of East London in 2022. In 2023, he gained widespread attention for A Great British Odyssey, an ambitious solo challenge to circumnavigate mainland Great Britain non stop and unsupported. The expedition highlighted both the physical and psychological demands of endurance sport and led to media appearances, including BBC Solent in 2025. In 2026, Angus expanded his advocacy work by launching Chat with Angus sessions, creating supportive spaces for men to discuss mental health openly.

Angus is hired as a speaker for his rare ability to combine world class sporting achievement with practical lessons on resilience, leadership and high performance. Drawing on years spent operating in extreme environments, he shares honest insights into handling pressure, building mental strength and performing consistently when faced with uncertainty. His talks resonate with businesses, leadership teams and organisations seeking to improve wellbeing, motivation and team culture. Whether speaking about endurance, mental fitness or overcoming adversity, Angus delivers authentic and inspiring presentations grounded in real world experience.
