After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1992, he began his career in industrial banking in India, quickly rising to the role of Deputy Manager, reporting directly to the CEO. Driven by an unrelenting hunger for growth, he transitioned to the Big Four, where he achieved two rapid promotions in a single year to become Audit Supervisor. In 2005, he earned the prestigious CFA Charterholder designation, a pivotal career milestone. His ascent continued as he took on the role of Finance Director at one of the MENASA region’s largest property developers, where he was instrumental in raising the world’s largest convertible Islamic bond. Later, as Executive Director, he oversaw a staggering $10 billion property portfolio, demonstrating his expertise in high-stakes financial leadership.

In 2009, Binod pivoted into entrepreneurship, co-founding Genesis Institute, which he led as Managing Director. Under his leadership, Genesis became the region’s leading CFA training provider, dominating the Middle East and Africa. This remarkable success culminated in its acquisition by global education giant Kaplan Inc. in 2017. Committed to continuous growth, Binod earned an ILM Level 7 Coaching & Mentoring Qualification in 2018, was elected to the Board of the CFA Emirates Society in 2019, and appointed to the Advisory Board of Heriot-Watt University in 2022. Alongside his corporate work, he’s a trusted voice on global platforms, having featured in over 230 live interviews on Bloomberg and CNBC.

Binod’s high-performance mindset extends far beyond the boardroom. An accomplished adventurer, he has summited 13 mountains across three continents, including Kilimanjaro and Elbrus, completed multiple marathons, and cycled grueling routes such as Manali to Leh (463 km).
