Jamie McAnsh is a highly sought-after motivational speaker and adaptive athlete, known for his exceptional resilience and advocacy for diversity and inclusion. As a speaker, he brings a unique perspective on overcoming adversity and achieving greatness in the face of immense challenges. His story is one of perseverance, strength, and the power of the human spirit, making him a powerful figure in the speaking world. With a focus on neurodiversity, resilience, and personal growth, he engages audiences with his inspiring journey and practical insights into achieving high performance despite setbacks.

Before becoming the motivational speaker he is today, Jamie was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in 2014, a rare neurological condition that left him paralysed from the waist down. This diagnosis marked a pivotal turning point in his life. Rather than allowing the condition to define him, Jamie committed himself to challenging his physical and mental limits. He quickly adapted to his new circumstances, setting goals that many would deem impossible. His early career was built on his relentless pursuit of physical challenges and his desire to raise awareness for disability rights, which laid the foundation for his current role as a high-performance speaker and advocate.

In recent years, Jamie has achieved some of the most remarkable feats in the world of adaptive athletics. He became the first person with CRPS to reach Mount Everest Base Camp on crutches in 2022 and followed this with becoming the first to summit Mount Kilimanjaro with bilateral CRPS. He also completed 12 extreme challenges in 12 months, including hand-cycling 100 miles in 13 hours and hiking 30 km across the Brecon Beacons in a wheelchair, raising over £250,000 for various UK charities. These achievements highlight his unyielding drive to push the boundaries of what is possible and serve as a powerful example of resilience for his audiences.

Jamie is hired as a speaker because his story transcends the typical motivational narrative. His authenticity, commitment to overcoming adversity, and focus on inclusivity make him a compelling and relatable speaker for any audience. Whether discussing overcoming physical barriers or fostering an inclusive mindset, Jamie’s ability to inspire and challenge audiences to reach their highest potential is why he is in demand by organisations looking for impactful and transformative speakers.
