A revered strategist, Neil Martin has forged a successful career working in Formula One racing, having overseen the strategy of some of the most prominent racing teams to date. A proactive data scientist, Neil is highly skilled in turning the unpredictable into a competitive lead, something that he learned as the former Team Leader of Operational Research for McLaren Racing. Today, Neil is regularly sought after as a high performance speaker, translating his skills from the world of motorsport into a business context, engaging corporate audiences on how they can generate high performing teams and optimal performance.
Having achieved a BSc in Mathematics with Computer Science, and an MSc in Operational Research, Neil began his now illustrious career working as the Team Leader of Operational Research for McLaren Racing, back in 1996. In this role, Neil pioneered the development of analytical methods that would improve the decision making of McLaren. Ensuring that McLaren made crucial decisions that would lead to high performance, Neil worked with McLaren for 11 years, and is a major contributor to their continued success today. After 11 years with McLaren, Neil was appointed as the Head of Strategic Operations for Red Bull Racing in 2007, before moving on to become the Head of Strategy for Ferrari in 2011.
Leaving the world of motorsports in 2015, Neil became the Director of Random Logic Limited. A bespoke consultancy, Random Logic Limited specialised in providing tailored analytics and solutions for clients, putting to use Neil’s expert knowledge of how to achieve optimal performance. Today, Neil is also the Co-Founder of PACETEQ GmbH, a company dedicated to leveraging innovation to deliver technical excellence and reimagining technology for a competitive advantage. Having worked with esteemed F1 racers, such as David Coulthard and Fernando Alonso, Neil knows just what it takes to craft a high performing mindset and culture within teams.
Having helped to orchestrate Red Bull Racing’s first historic win at the Chinese Grand Prix 2009 and having worked with the likes of Mika Hӓkkinen and Kimi Raikkonen, there is no questioning that Neil’s knowledge of high performance is second to none.
