Ollie Ollerton is a former UK Special Forces soldier, bestselling author, and television personality who has become one of the most in-demand motivational speakers in the country. Best known for his role as Directing Staff on Channel 4’s ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’, he brings rare insight into the mindset, resilience, and leadership required to operate in the world’s most hostile environments. Ollie’s military journey began in 1989 when he joined the Royal Marine Commandos. His potential quickly shone through, leading him to pass the gruelling SAS Special Forces Selection, where only a handful succeeded out of hundreds who applied. He went on to serve with the Special Boat Service (SBS), qualifying as a Special Forces Combat Frogman and piloting submersible craft used to infiltrate enemy territory. His operations included counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, and hostage rescue, experiences that tested his physical endurance and mental toughness to the extreme.
After leaving the military, Ollie continued to put his skills to use in high-risk environments. He worked in Iraq as a private security contractor, protecting journalists and convoys, and later managed security operations for major international companies in the Middle East. Beyond that, he dedicated himself to humanitarian work in South East Asia, where he helped lead missions to dismantle child trafficking networks—efforts that directly saved the lives of vulnerable children. Alongside these professional achievements, Ollie faced his own personal battles, overcoming alcoholism and depression through mindfulness and resilience, lessons that now form the cornerstone of his speaking.
As an author, Ollie has published several books, including the Sunday Times bestseller ‘Battle Ready’, along with ‘Break Point, Scar Tissue, All or Nothing’, and ‘How to Survive (Almost) Anything’. His writing, much like his speaking, combines raw honesty with practical strategies for facing adversity and embracing change. Today, through his company BreakPoint and his keynote engagements worldwide, Ollie empowers audiences to transform their mindset, build resilience, and break through barriers.
