Sebastian Sheppard

Sebastian Sheppard is a strategic advisor, business transformation expert, and former senior leader at Alpine Formula One. With almost two decades of experience in high-pressure and high-performance environments, he has developed a reputation for inspiring audiences through his engaging talks on building efficient and successful teams. Drawing from his extensive career, Seb shares how to sustain focus, motivation, and excellence under demanding conditions, offering valuable lessons that resonate across industries.

Born in Chile, Seb began his career as a helicopter pilot in the Royal Navy, later serving in both the Spanish and Chilean navies. This formative period shaped his leadership style and taught him resilience, precision, and critical thinking. His years in the armed forces instilled in him an unshakeable commitment to teamwork and performance, qualities that would later define his corporate career. After sixteen years of service, Seb transitioned into the private sector, beginning in Aerospace Logistics at UTi Worldwide. He soon took on the role of A400M Programme Manager with SONACA before joining Airbus in programme management. These experiences cemented his ability to manage complex projects and lead diverse teams through periods of transformation. Seb’s entry into Formula One came through Altran, where he worked on special projects for the Lotus F1 Team. His natural leadership and strategic insight saw him rise swiftly, eventually becoming Head of Transformation, Organisation and Integration for Northern Europe at Altran. From 2019, he served as the Engineering Manager at Alpine Formula One, leading over 150 engineers in the design and development of racing cars under intense time constraints. Today, Seb is an advisory board member for GTS Group and is the director of Seb Shepphard High Performance Consulting.

Beyond his professional achievements, Seb has appeared as a speaker at prestigious events, including the Merger Integration Management Forum at Thought Leader Global. He serves as a visiting lecturer at universities in Melbourne, Edinburgh, and Oxford. He is also a mentor for the African Leadership Academy and a speaker for Young Lives vs Cancer.
